What do I have to do to get started?

You need to send an MP3 of your strongest track to info@parkstreetpr.co.uk along with a biography, discography, artwork image and a photo. Obviously you need a budget, and you need to be prepared to do interviews via E-mail/Telephone as well as doing radio/DJ`s drops & shouts. We set things up for you as an artist but you have to be prepared to work hard as well so together we can achieve the most exposure for your product.

What are the benefits of having a PR company represent me?

Park Street PR services the media on a fortnightly basis, which is more than most record labels can release. With this comes an excellent working relationship that Park Street PR has built with contacts. We are in touch with the media all the time and that obviously has its advantages. Also having a PR company represent you does look professional, it shows that you as an artist are really serious about your career.

How long does the promotion last?

Promotions last for six weeks (unless otherwise stated), but once you a client you will be constantly be promoted through the website so any ‘new media’ contacts will be given the chance to promote you as well. It really helps if we can get product from you eight weeks before release although this is not essential.

Where do I send my CD’s for promotion?

Once we have agreed to do your promotion and payment has been received you will be given a street address to send your CD’s too. Overseas acts should maybe think about sending the release in a plastic wallet rather than a case, as it saves on post! Remember that Park Street PR can also arrange CDR duplication for you at a real competitive price.

Do the CD’s have to be finished copies or can I send CDR promos?

For maximum impact finished copies do always look better, however a CDR Promo of your release is more than expectable as long as it is printed up properly with all the correct details. If you are having this done, please let me know so we can send the Park Street PR logo to you to include on the CD.

Can Park Street duplicate CD’s for me?

Yes we can. The turnaround is three days and it costs £75 GBP ($150 USD) for 100 CD’s. Again this amount will be required before the campaign starts.

When do I have to pay?

You pay at the start of the campaign, as monies is needed for post and packaging for the mail-out. The price of the post is included in the ‘one-off’ quote you receive.

How can I pay?
Overseas artists are best to pay via www.paypal.com but can also pay through Western Union if needed. UK acts can pay by bank transfer, cheque or cash.

How much does it cost?

Due to our rates being so affordable and competitive we are reluctant to put the prices on our website, but for a quote simply e-mail which package you require and someone will get back to you within 24 hours.

Does the quote include postage and packaging?

Yes, we found that most acts & artists don’t want hidden charges etc., so we quote you a ‘one-off’ price that covers the postage, packaging and the service you require.

What magazines, DJ`s, radio stations and websites does Park Street PR service?

Again due to the competitive nature of this business we are reluctant to issue a list of who we service, however if artists require this information it is available on request once the payment and the promotion is under way.

I am a media person/DJ and I would like to support your clients, how can I get serviced?

The best thing to do is to e-mail info@parkstreetpr.co.uk with your full name, name of magazine/radio/DJ/website, E-mail address, MP3 E-mail address, full postal address with post code/area code, telephone number, mobile/cell phone number, MSN/AOL Instant Messenger details, you’re MySpace page and the type of Hip-Hop that you like, or who you are interested in supporting.

Alternatively you can E-Mail us at info@parkstreetpr.co.uk and we will give you a Username & Password so you can log into the Media section on the site and download Zip Files including artwork, photos, mp3’s and a biography.

Do I get a report so I know exactly what Park Street PR has done for me?

As things start to happen with your promotion you will be told as soon as it happens, so you know exactly what it is going down with your promotion. At the end of a campaign a report is available on request.

Do you arrange bookings and live gigs?

No, but we do service most UK booking agents if you take the standard and premium promotion packages.

What big named artists has Park Street PR worked with?

We work music we feel is good and that people in the UK will like and enjoy writing about. Park Street PR isn’t just about promoting well-known mainstream names, however our services have been used for releases by 2Pac, Akon, Papoose, Chamillionaire, Grafh, K-Rino (SPC), J Hood (D’Block), Red Café, 40Glocc (G-Unit), Trae (ABN/Rap-A-Lot), Geolani (Team AFF), DJ Vlad and many others, as well as working with UK acts such as SAS (Dipset/Eurogang), Asher D (So Solid), Baby J & Blade, LATE (Wolftown), Lunatrix & Vokal (OYM Records) and many others.

What is an ‘E-Mail Blast’?

We have an extensive list of e-mail addresses for DJ’s & Radio Stations from all over the UK as well as Europe, USA and Asia. We simply take you high quality MP3 and e-mail it to all the DJ’s. We do this three times throughout the campaign. As far as to how many people get the E-Mail depends on the package you decide to take.

Can I send stickers/flyers also for the mail-outs?

Most definitely! This really, really helps. Any form of merchandise also helps. Stickers and flyers are welcomed and there is NO extra charge to include this in your mail-out as well as future mail-outs.
